Where Have All The Bad Singers Gone?

They're still here, but through the magic of Pro Tools and a plug in called Auto Tune they're off key notes are magically disappearing.

Auto Tune is probably the single most used plug in ever, now in use on almost every song released. It's use is so over done, this blog actually tracked the Top 10 worst examples of Auto Tune abuse. This list includes Dixie Chicks, Avril Lavigne, Uncle Kracker, Rascal Flatts, and more.

PBS Science is a doing a story on Auto Tune, showing how it works, why it works, and even more fun the host of the show will do some incredibly out of tune singing that Auto Tune will attempt to straighten out. Will it get the job done? My guess is yes.
